"As a general dentist who has worked in private practice for twenty five years, I have seen a lot of changes in how we are able to provide dental care to our patients. The ultimate goal as a practitioner hasn't changed. As dentists we want to provide the best, longest lasting, aesthetic restorations that allow people to function well, with biocompatability, and with confidence. I was able to learn to provide Cerec direct restorations in 2010 and have enjoyed providing single appointment crowns, inlays and onlays during these last ten years. Yet, the need for good relationships with our dental laboratory teams are more important than ever. The ability to provide complicated implant dentistry, long span bridges and an increase in finesse aesthetic dentistry with the help of lab technicians is wonderful and an important option to offer our patients. The use of gold restorations are still the best choice for some patients as well, and I am grateful to my dental technicians to still offer this service. In a time where we have so many options, dentists and dental labs, working together, still allow for dentistry that we can all be happy with and proud of."
